[presto]
please be sure to follow all these fairly simple rules.
OOC RULES
1. staff's word is law. do not argue with us, do not disobey us.
2. follow all proboards rules --you must be 13 to register.
3. be respectful and friendly towards all members, not just staff.
4. no chatspeak outside of the chatter box.
5. you may swear if you so choose, but if another member asks you (politely) to stop, then stop.
6. don't start stupid fights. if you've got a problem with a member, just keep it to yourself or, if it's bad enough, go to staff.
IC RULES
1. no powerplaying or godmodding.
2. no chatspeak whatsoever. also, use correct grammar and spelling. if you're unsure of something, throw it into word.
3. no perfect characters --they all should have at least one flaw.
4. no graphic sex. if you really want to write that out, go to pms.
5. our word requirement is 150, a very manageable number if you put forth a tiny bit of effort. we do realize that every now and then you have an off day, and so we do allow rapid fire posts, but if you're spouting out rf posts constantly in response to your partner's five hundred some words, then staff may have to have a talk with you.
6. on that note, please try and mirror post, meaning give back at least the same amount of writing that you were given. you can always write more than your partner's last post, but don't constantly being going for the 150 minimum when they're going above and beyond.
7. if you plan on breeding pokemon, please read the breeder's guidelines.
8. also, please read the guide on pokemon leveling up for information on that.
CHARACTER CREATION
1. we prefer that you use a face claim, but we do realize this isn't some people's cup of tea. if you need help finding a face claim, you can ask any member, who is sure to try and help. we accept both animanga face claims and normal face claims. if you choose not to use one, please realize that you only get one non-face claim character.
2. you may take on a gym leader, but we ask that new, nonstaff members take on only one gym leader (or elite four or champion), as we don't know whether or not you will disappear right away and leave us with an empty spot again. while we hope this isn't the case, we know this happens often, hence the rule. after we get a feel for you and determine that you won't likely leave, we will slowly allow you to take on more, if you so choose.
3. do not make your character's team all level 100s. not even a champion should have all lvl 100s, or really, even one. this is something to work up towards. champions and elite four may have pokemon above level 50, but other characters should stay below 50, depending on their age. younger characters shouldn't have pokemon over the level 20 mark.
4. you may not start out with any legendary pokemon. and if you wish for your character to have 'ultra rare' pokemon on their team, you ought to write out a very good reason in your history, or else it won't be allowed.
