Legendary Adventures offers three different styles of roleplay. They are as follows:
Free-Form Roleplay:
This is where you post a large paragraph, or multiple paragraphs, detailing an adventure your character has. This could be anything from simply leaving home, to capturing a new Pokemon partner!
Free-Form roleplay can either be graded or not graded. Non-graded Free-Form roleplay does not offer the extra benefits that graded Free-Form roleplay does. If you would like your Free-Form post to be graded, please post in the respective board with your thread waiting to be graded. Once it is seen, a Moderator or Global Moderator will grade your work and either reward you extra spoils or give you tips to make your work better. Please remember that all criticism given is meant to help, not hurt. Do not take anything said personally; our Staff are only here to help.
Guided Roleplay:
Perhaps a less common type of roleplay is that of a guided roleplay. If you're interested in this style of roleplay, post or PM a Staff member (Global Mod or Mod; Admin in the rarest of cases) telling them you'd be interested in having them guide you through a roleplay. Next you will need to post your thread, and notify the Staff member that the thread is ready. Guided roleplay consists of the Staff member leading you through an adventure of their choice; controlling all elements of the story other than your character. This includes items, Pokemon, NPC battles, etc. Guided roleplay offers a more immerse experience, and is a good place to start if you feel you're unsure if your character is too powerful. Guided roleplay is also a great way to get to know our Staff team! At the end of the thread, your Moderator or G-Mod will post a summary of what occurred in the thread. This will tally up new Pokemon gained, items found, battles won, new moves learned, evolved Pokemon, etc. If they leave anything out, or forgot something, make sure to correct them!
Stat-Based Roleplay:
The most complicated and complex style of roleplay. This type is usually only used in battles, and it's only usually used to make things difficult. This type of roleplay consists of you roleplaying as normal with your Pokemon, but with the benefits and cons of stats. This features things like offensive power and defensive power to the extreme. Stats are not active in any roleplay except for this type. So, offensively wise, your Pikachu will more than likely get creamed by that Rayquaza. Stat-Based Roleplay is only recommended for our Advanced team. It is not user friendly, and we do not recommend it.
