(hope I did this right)
(btw, the E001 part is 'Eba's Adventure Topic 001'... Its just so that if I ever want to blog-ify it (like I have in the past (Gal, you know what I'm talking about (parenthesis-ception!))), it will be easy to piece back together)
"C'mon Blaze, it's time for us to set forth on our adventure. Littleroot has been kind to us, but we've got to broaden our sphere of influence, y'know?" Eba said, sitting on the front porch of his house he had lived in for three years. Three years out of ten, and yet already he couldn't imagine living anywhere else other than Littleroot, nor could he imagine being with anybody other than Blaze, his torchic. They had been in a few mock-battles before, but their true bond was not like the normal trainer-pokemon bond, but rather that of a brother-brother bond.
Blaze thought about this suggestion, and came to the conclusion that they should leave Littleroot. He had a very deep reasoning for this, but, as Eba was just a boy, didn't understand the true meaning behind Blaze's nod of approval. Or so Blaze liked to think. He had a bit of narcissism and wannabe-mysticism going on inside his head.
Their last night in town was interesting. Saying goodbye to the neighbors was hard, but Eba knew that as a pokemon trainer, he would have to get used to leaving people, or pokemon, behind. Not everyone could be a member of the team of six a champion could wield. With this philosophy sitting heavy on his shoulders, Eba and Blaze set out for Oldale Town, the first stop on his journey. His mother had given him five pokeballs to start his journey, but he did not realize he would have to use them so soon, for he had not taken but a step into Route 101 and a poochyena popped out of the tall grass. Frantically, Eba reached for a pokeball. It bounced harmlessly off the poochyena. Eba gulped. His first battle against a wild pokemon had just begun, and he had just completely fumbled what could have been an easy battle.
The poochyena showed its fangs to Blaze, and then leapt towards him with the intent to tackle. Blaze moved out of the way, his Speed Boost ability making him faster still. Unrelentingly, the poochyena leapt at Blaze again, this time knocking him off his feet. Blaze growled at the poochyena, lowering its attack, and then tried to scratch it. The poochyena managed to scurry out of the way, but Blaze changed the direction of the attack and directed it towards the moving poochyena. Scratch is not the most powerful attack, as any trainer could figure out from the fact that half to pokemon could learn it. However, the level difference between Blaze and the poochyena was big enough that it tripped up the poochyena. Before it could get up, Eba quickly threw a pokeball at it. The poochyena looked at the ball and sighed, as if it knew it was about to be caught. The pokeball engulfed the poochyena, and Eba picked it up.
"Thanks, Blaze," he said. "The nearest pokemon center is up ahead in Odale town, so lets head up there without looking for more pokemon. Besides, the poochyena we just caught is hurt, so, even if it was the one that challenged us to a battle, its still our responsibility to hurry it to a center."
((Note: Feel free to post, although you don't have to if you don't want to. If nobody posts, I will just skip my characters ahead to Odale Town...))
