John nodded and smiled, laughing at the courage Eba displayed for facing the Gym battle.
"Sure, lets head there right now and get these Gym Battles going."
((Short reply can be blamed on how hard it is to end a thread. xD You can post your Gym Challenge now; I'll response as Roxanne/John watching.))

'Whoa...' Alexandria's eyes moved back and forth, following the pokemons' moves. Both trainers had used two each, but the older male had almost always had the advantage. Not only did he have stronger Pokemon, but he seemed more experienced with battling. She'd had a hunch that he would win, and he had. Giving Aidan a pat and letting Enya go, the red head stood up to go greet the two boys. The two fire-types rushed ahead, calling out to the other Pokemon in greeting.
Keeping Lily held tight in her arms, she approached the two trainers, a smile wide on her face. 'That battle, it was, wow! Amazing!' Her lack of articulation was unusual, but for someone who'd just witnessed their very first battle, it was expected. 'I've never actually seen a real live Pokemon battle! Great job both of you!' Lexa shifted the silver Evolution Pokemon to one arm, offering her open hand to each boy in turn.
'The name's Alexandria, feel free to shorten it to whatever you like. I'm a trainer too, though I'm pretty new at it. These are my three, Aidan, Enya, and Lily.' She pointed to her Puppy and Fox Pokemon on the ground as she named them, each rushing to her side in turn, and lifted the Eevee slightly to show her off. 'We're from Sunyshore City --Kanto originally-- and we've all just started our journey.'

It was the female he had spotted earlier during the battle. She approached them now, after their battle was completed, and extended her greetings warmly to them. Under any normal circumstances, this might have seemed weird, but John was used to new Trainer approaching him all the time. This shouldn't have been any different.
His Aron, on the other hand, was unaccustomed to meeting other Pokemon than the ones that John had on his team or planned to have on his team, and as such was ready to use Mud Slap on the Fire Types approaching him, but John quickly intervened before things got too serious.
"Easy there Blue. They aren't going to hurt you."
The Aron relaxed considerably, and then John stood up in full, dusting off his knees casually and accepted Alexa's hand in a firm shake that ended moments later.
"Johnathan Coleman, at your service. But you can just call me John."
He took a glance over each of her Pokemon in turn. She definitely looked like a Kanto Trainer. Vulpix, Growlithe, and a Shiny Eevee. All Pokemon familiar to John, seeing as how his journey had begun in Kanto.
"Sunnyshore huh? That's Sinnoh...you must have come a long way from home then. And you say you're from Kanto too?"
He didn't mind the socializing, though if she planned on coming with them, it might get a tiny bit chaotic. At the mention of Sinnoh-Sunnyshore specifically-he had instantly recalled Cass. She had left for Sinnoh to go visit her hometown of Twinleaf and participate in the currently ongoing Tournament of Contests in Hearthome City. John had been rather ambitious at the time, and had made up his mind that he was going to head for Hoenn and conquer the Gyms there. The pair had split, wishing each other good luck and promising to come visit soon.
But his thoughts were jarred back to reality. Now wasn't the time to be daydreaming.
"Pokemon training is something that just...comes with time. My words of advice to you." John said, and then smiled warmly at Alexa. She looked like she might have some talent, possibly. Of course she had talent; it was just a matter of recognizing it. At least, that was how he thought of every Pokemon Trainer.

INFINITY (n.) the state of being limitless The female gave a light chuckle as the little steel type shiny started at the sight of her fire types. Her eyes hard, she gave the two canines a warning look, daring them to misbehave right now. Little Enya backed away a few steps, not wanting to put a bad impression on the new trainers, but Aidan only gave a chortling cough and stood his ground, even daring to inch closer to this new pokemon.
With a sigh, Lexa shook her head, disappointed in her Growlithe's misbehavior. 'Nice to meetcha, John,' she greeted, giving him a nod. 'And yeah. Kanto originally, but my dad moved us to Sinnoh for work. And I guess I just wanted to be in Hoenn, so I traveled here after a while. Which brings me to now, I guess.' She shrugged lightly, Lily giving a small squeak of protest as the girl's arms tightened slightly.
Alexa looked over at the other boy with interest, confused as to why he hadn't come over to greet her as well. 'And who's he?' she questioned lightly, jerking her red-topped head in the boy's direction. 'Are you guys together or just decided to come to blows in the middle of town for no reason? Looked at you weird or whatever?' | words 217 tags #galasdorin, #clawpaw notes uhhhh, i apologize for the crappy writing i have demonstrated. it was crappy. |

He had almost entirely forgotten about Eba.
Glancing over his shoulder, he saw the young Trainer still standing there, and mentally smacked himself for not introducing him sooner.
"Huh? Oh, nah, nothing bad or serious. His name's Eba. We're travelling together-at least for now-collecting Badges and the likes."
"For now" huh? Apt way of putting it. You'll make it sound like you want to be rid of him sooner than he might already think.
What about you?" John asked suddenly, gesturing toward the red headed girl, changing the subject to jar his thoughts from the path they were already on.
"Something must have brought you to Hoenn. Any idea exactly what, or you just stumbled here because you felt that pull?"
